This program is required of all employers whose employees are exposed to an excess of 85 dbA averaged over an 8 hour TWA. This policy meets the Cal OSHA program requirements and creates consistency in management of noise exposure.

Supervisor or Employee Training

This training session will ensure that the students understand the potential for noise
exposure and their liability and responsibility as it relates to the company's Hearing
Conservation Program.

Individuals who participate in this training will be given a comprehensive overview of the Standard, your written policies and procedures, how excessive noise exposure can adversely affect their hearing, how to protect against excessive exposure, and how to properly use the provided hearing protectors.

Participants will receive materials/handouts needed to assist in subject retention.
Class will last approximately .75 to 1 hour. The session will consist of lecture,
handouts and video presentation.

All training is performed in accordance with Federal OSHA, applicable State-chartered OSHA, and other State Regulations and local Ordinances.
