16-Hr. O & M Asbestos Training
OSHA and the EPA require a sixteen-hour Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Training Course for all employees who conduct repair and maintenance operations, where ACM/PACM is likely to be disturbed. Disturbance is defined as activities involving small amounts of ACM/PACM, no greater than the amount which can be contained in one standard sized glove bag or waste bag in order to access a building component. In no event shall an O&M worker be allowed to disturb more than one (60x60) of ACM/PACM without additional training. Operations and Maintenance Training includes the two hour Awareness Training and fourteen hours technical training.
Certificates will be provided to those who complete the course criteria. This course meets requirements outlined in AHERA and OSHA regulations and would be of prime concern to General Contractors, subcontractors, property managers, building supervisors, property owners and those construction trades involved in building renovations, repairs, remodeling or demolitions. Class can be taught in either English or Spanish.
All training is performed in accordance with Federal OSHA, applicable State-chartered OSHA, and other State Regulations and local Ordinances.
